THE IMPORTANCE OF 1POINT PROJECT FOR ATLANTIS ENGINEERING
Post February 1, 2023 by Dragan Kusić
The main activities of ATLANTIS Engineering are to support production activities in factories with simple and advanced manufacturing systems, to organise maintenance departments and to provide consulting and training services on maintenance and asset management. So, from the very beginning being part of the 1POINT project consortium had a dual significance for the company.
On the one hand, the experience and expertise resulting from vocational training projects, development of training platforms for industrial manufacturing companies and TPM projects could be transferred and used as a basis for depicting the status In Greece and identifying the existing gaps in the industry sector. Moreover, the engagement of the company in several maintenance organisations, both national and European, and the participation in organising annual maintenance events also contributed greatly to this end.
On the other hand, 1POINT project set an aim to develop innovative training content, the 1POINT methodology, which will address current challenges faced in the industry and improve the skill levels and employability of maintenance workers. All this new knowledge and material will be incorporated into the services the company provides to existing but also future clients. In addition, ATLANTIS and the people involved in the project benefited from gaining knowledge on fields they have not been previously involved, such as 3D printing and AR/VR.
All in all, the conclusion of the project is just the start for ATLANTIS to promote and make use of the project results. There is the firm belief that the e-learning platform developed during the project will serve as a valuable tool in our future ventures.
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission – Project Reference: 2020-1-SI01-KA202-076060.
